ESL Teacher
Hello!
Ni hao!
¡Hola!
My name is Rachel Whites. This is my 10th year of teaching. I am a mommy to 2 year old Jack, an Army wife, and an English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher at Ridgemont Elementary. I have the honor of teaching students whose first language was one other than English. As one of three ESL teachers for Obion County Schools, we not only provide sheltered instruction in the content areas, but also help the students to develop their English skills and assimilate and adapt to the local and national culture. I feel so fortunate to be a part of my students' lives. The experience is nothing short of rewarding.
